Surrender

I hear whispers,
Seductive words in my ears.
The darkness has come,
To lure me and to possess me.
It has come to take me away.

I listen yet I falter,
Fearing for my sanity,
Fearing it will consume me,
And leave me with nothing
But imprint of my soul.

Relentlessly still,
Darkness whispers into my ears.
Come with me my love,
Do not fear your dreams.
Why are you afraid,
Of my velvety touch?

Soon my fears banish,
And I melt in its embrace.
I willingly surrender myself
To the arms of darkness.

The darkness consumes me,
Quenching its thirst,
With my tears of despair
Satisfying its hunger
with my everlasting passion.

I willingly surrender,
Unable to resist its lure.
I am slave to its seduction.
I am nothing without darkness.

I am nothing without.
I am no more.
